How I Built a Passive Income Planner with ChatGPT + Notion
Creating a digital product used to sound like a huge, overwhelming project — especially if you’re not a tech person.
But with the right tools and a clear problem to solve, I built a planner that now earns while I sleep.
And I did it in Notion, powered by prompts from ChatGPT.
Here’s exactly how.
🔍 Step 1: Define the Problem You’re Solving
Every digital product starts with one question:
“What’s a problem I know how to solve that others would pay to shortcut?”
In my case, I kept hearing the same thing from creators:
“I want to start something, but I don’t know where to begin. I get overwhelmed by all the tools.”
That’s when I realized — I could build a simple, Notion-based system to help someone go from idea → income with AI.
💬 Step 2: Use ChatGPT to Plan the Structure
I opened ChatGPT and started riffing.
Prompt:
“Help me outline a 30-day planner to launch an AI-powered side hustle. It should include daily actions, space for tools, and a content calendar.”
It gave me the skeleton.
I refined the flow, customized the days, and started turning it into a real layout.
🧱 Step 3: Build the Planner in Notion
This part was easy because Notion is incredibly flexible. I created:
A daily task checklist
A prompt idea bank
A tool stack dashboard
A content planner
An affiliate tracker + launch board
I used Notion’s template buttons and filtered databases to make it feel interactive — like a mini operating system.
🎨 Step 4: Design the Product (Lightly)
I used Canva to mock up the dashboard for visuals, and created a branded cover to make it feel polished.
You don’t need to overdo this — a clean title and 1-2 preview shots are enough to sell the value.
💸 Step 5: Sell It with Gumroad
Once the template was duplicated and locked down, I uploaded it to Gumroad.
Added a product description, a few FAQs, and connected it to my email list (ConvertKit) for delivery automation.
That’s it.
No course.
No funnel.
No expensive software stack.
Just one well-built product — born from a real need.
